The City of Geneva has begun its 2026 Budget process. A series of public meetings and work sessions have been scheduled to review and discuss the upcoming budget.

The process kicks off on September 9, 2025, at 6 p.m. when the City Manager will present the 2026 Budget to the public. A public hearing focused on public safety and economic development will follow on September 23, 2025 at 6 p.m.

Additional work sessions are planned throughout the coming months. On September 30, 2025 at 6 p.m., a work session will cover public works and recreation. A session focused on administration is scheduled for October 7, 2025 at 6 p.m. Three general work sessions are set for October 14, 21, and 28, 2025 at 6 p.m. each.

The final deadline for adopting the budget is October 31, 2025. All sessions will be held at City Hall.

A budget preparation update will also take place on August 6, 2025 at the City Council.
